Griffin Free has received two Humanities To Go grants from New Hampshire Humanities totaling $500. These funds will help cover the cost for two presenters.
The first will be, “Galileo Galilei: The Starry Messenger” with Mike Francis on March 28 at 7:00 p.m.. This living history presentation has Galileo arriving to present a lecture discussing his discoveries and will include audience members being actively involved in experiments and demonstrations.
The second will be, “Liberty is our Motto! Songs and Stories of the Hutchinson Family Singers” on June 21 at 7:00 p.m. In this musical living history presentation, Steve Blunt will portray John Hutchinson in the year of 1876. The Hutchinson Family Singers were a famous musical family from New Hampshire who achieved international recognition with political and social themed songs.
