Children’s Summer Reading Program

Running from June 24 through August 11, we have programs for children, teens and adults to keep the whole family reading all summer long. In this post, we will focus on the Children’s program. Watch for additional posts outlining the teen and adult programs.

Children’s Summer Reading – Build a Better World!

We are very excited to be collaborating with the Auburn Village School this year for our Children’s Summer Reading Program, Build a Better World. This program is for children currently in K – 4th grade. Sign up now to participate and stop by Griffin Free to pick up your reading logs. Then, for every 100 pages you read, there are two ways to win:

  1. For every 100 page you read, bring your reading log to be signed at Griffin Free Public Library then you may choose a reward from our prize box!
  2. On the 1st day of school, bring your signed summer reading logs to your AVS teacher to earn one raffle ticket for every 100 pages you read. There will be gift cards, board games, a kindle and other great prizes!!!

In addition, save these dates for our Children’s Summer Reading events:

  • Saturday, June 24: Puppet Show at the Safety Complex @ 11:00 AM
  • Saturday, July 15: Marble Run at the Griffin Free Public Library from Noon – 2:00 PM
  • Friday, August 11: River Builders with the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire @ 1:00 PM
